Launching a coin
The launcher's three steps, what each choice means, the bonding curve, and where every fee goes.
Open the launcher and work through three steps. The Launch summary beside them shows every choice, and its Launch button sends the coin live. You need to be signed in.
1. Pick what it pays
Venue. Launch on Pump or Meteora. Meteora also asks where the coin opens:
| Opens at | Starts at | Graduates at | Why pick it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low cap | about $3K | about $45K (15×) | The usual launchpad shape. Cheap to enter, and cheap for someone to take a large share early. |
| High cap | about $20K | about $100K (5×) | A share of the supply costs about seven times more, so taking one is a real position. |
Hook (Pump only). How holders are paid:
- Reward pays holders in the pair, or in a basket of up to ten tokens paid one per round, in order.
- Index pays a basket that rewrites itself as companies are tokenised: Top 10 Coins (the ten biggest coins launched here), or the Elon, Trump, Zuck, Altman, Thiel or Bezos index. An index needs at least two members on chain to rotate through, so the launcher only lets you pick one that has them. Today that's Elon and Thiel, and Top 10 once two or more coins have launched here.
- King of the Hill pays one winner instead of holders: every fifteen minutes the biggest single buy takes the holders' share of the fees, in SOL. If nobody buys, it rolls into the next round. There's no pair or basket to pick.
A Meteora coin has no hook choice. It pays like Reward.
Pair. What the coin trades against and pays out in, from xStocks, Backpack or Crypto. Only Reward can pay a basket instead of the pair.
2. Name the coin
| Field | Rules |
|---|---|
| Image | Required. Pick one of the emoji, or paste an https:// link to a picture. |
| Colour | The coin's accent colour on its page and cards. |
| Name | 2 to 32 characters. |
| Ticker | 2 to 10 letters or digits, saved in capitals. |
| Description | Optional, up to 280 characters. |
| X | Optional: an @handle, an x.com profile link or a link to a post. |
3. Your first buy
Optional: none, 0.5, 1, 2 or 5 SOL, or your own amount up to 10. It buys at the same price anyone else pays a second later, so the creator can hold some of their own coin from the start.
Where every fee goes
Every buy and sell pays the trading fee (1% of the SOL side). Of each fee:
| Share | Goes to |
|---|---|
| 50% | The gacha pool, which every pack pays out from. |
| 45% | Desk floors: the coin's sweep fund buys the cheapest desk listed, burns it, and pays its vault to the top 200 holders. |
| 5% | You, the creator, on every trade. Nothing to claim. (Booked but not sent in this build.) |
The split is fixed at launch. Nobody can redirect it, you included. More in where every fee goes.
The bonding curve
Coins start on a bonding curve with virtual reserves of 30 SOL and 1,073,000,000 tokens. Total supply is 1,000,000,000, of which 793,100,000 are sold on the curve. Price rises as people buy and falls as they sell.
When those 793.1M tokens sell out, the coin graduates: the remaining 206.9M tokens and the SOL the curve raised become a constant-product pool, and trading continues there. See trading a coin.
What this build does with your choices
Launches and trades are simulated: no SOL moves, and coin pages say so. The venue, hook, pair and basket are saved with the coin, but in this build every coin trades on the same bonding curve and pays its holders through sweeps. See what's simulated.
