Sweeps, burns and airdrops
The exact rules for sweeping a desk, burning it and paying the top 200 holders.
When a sweep starts
A coin's sweep fund grows by 45% of every fee on that coin (the desk-floor share). A sweep starts as soon as fund ≥ price of the cheapest available listing:
- It pays the listing price only. Unlike a pool restock, there's no 2% buy fee on top.
- A listing that was already swept by another coin or bought by the pool is skipped.
- Each coin runs one sweep at a time. The next can start once the last one has airdropped.
The coin page shows the fund, the target and a progress bar.
The three stages
| Stage | What happens | On the coin page | In the live feed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bought | The fund pays for the listing. | Bought | Sweep buy |
| Burned | The vault is collected, then the NFT is burned. | Burned | Burn |
| Airdropped | The vault's value is sent to the top 200 holders. | Airdropped | Airdrop |
Each stage is its own step with its own transaction, a few seconds apart. The airdrop goes out in batches of 20 holders, so it takes up to ten transactions. While a sweep runs, the coin page and the live page show it moving through the stages.
Who gets the airdrop
- The top 200 holders by balance at the moment the airdrop runs. Ties go by wallet address.
- Every wallet counts, the creator's included. The bonding curve and the pool aren't holders, so they never take a share.
- Each holder's share is
their balance ÷ the top 200's combined balance, and they get that share of the vault's value. - If nobody holds the coin, the vault's value goes to the gacha pool instead.
The holders table on every coin page shows each holder's share and an Est. next airdrop, which assumes the next sweep burns the cheapest listed desk.
What "rewards from the burn" are
A desk's vault holds tokenised stock (and sometimes $OTC). Whoever holds the desk owns it, so the sweep collects the vault before burning. That collected value is what's airdropped, and burning removes a desk from OTC's supply for good.
In this build
Sweeps run against real Magic Eden listings, but the buy, burn and airdrop are simulated. Vault values are estimates, and airdrops are paid as their value in SOL rather than the stock itself. See what's simulated.
